v0.5.0 - Major Feature Update

 

This update brings powerful new tools, smarter workflows, and refined user experience from top to bottom.

 

New Features

  • Auto Naming: Scenes and shots now auto-increment with customizable naming conventions (adjustable in Settings).

  • Shot Details: Log setup numbers, camera letters, cast numbers, and estimated time for each shot.

  • Search: Quickly find projects and scenes with the new Recents tab search.

  • Project Sorting: Reorder your project list with new sort options.

  • Diopter Calculator: Added a new tool to calculate minimum focus shifts when using diopters.

  • Enabled Cheat Codes

  • Firebase Analytics: App behavior is now anonymously tracked to improve performance and prioritize features.

UI Improvements

  • Project Cards: Now display total scenes, planned/completed/total shots, and key crew info.

  • Edit Menus: Long-press project or scene cards to edit - gear icon removed for a cleaner top bar.

  • Shot Edit Page: Fields now collapse - only edit what you need.

  • Image Viewer: Reference images now scale into a consistent 16x9 frame without cropping.

Workflow Enhancements

  • Camera Settings Duplication: CineLog now remembers your previous settings and can auto-fill new shots with matching data.

  • Import/Export Templates: Updated templates match the new scene and shot details.

  • PDF Exports: Cleaner layout with tables for improved readability and smaller file sizes.

Fixes & Under-the-Hood

  • Project name duplicate check now works as expected.

  • Scene and project edit forms now save consistently.

  • Refined swipe navigation for more intuitive screen transitions.

  • Codebase refactored for performance and scalability.
